Astoria, Queens, NY – D&B Engineers and Architects, a leading engineering and consulting organization specializing in civil and environmental engineering, water supply and construction management founded in 1965, has promoted three of its key employees to Associate: Matthew Thogersen, E.I.T. of Astoria, Queens, NY, Anthony V. Cucuzzo of Mount Sinai, NY, and Matthew H. Hoskins, P.G. of Syracuse, NY (Howlett Hill area).

Beyond his new role as Associate with D&B Engineers and Architects, Mr. Thogersen, E.I.T. of Astoria, Queens, retains his prior responsibilities as Project Engineer at the company’s Woodbury office where he is Project Manager for the Belgrave Water Pollution Control District Effluent Pump Station and Outfall Replacement projects. He joined D&B Engineers and Architects in 2013 as a member of the firm’s Wastewater Design Division. Mr. Thogersen currently holds an E.I.T. certification as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a member of the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) and currently serves as the President-Elect of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Long Island Branch, from which he was recently awarded the “Young Engineer of the Year Award.”

In his new position as Associate, Mr. Cucuzzo of Mount Sinai, supports the growing Civil/Site Engineering and Water Supply Division at D&B Engineers and Architects’ Woodbury office. Since joining the firm in 2017, he served as Senior Engineer and Project Manager for several significant assignments including a number of large residential/commercial developments as well as water main replacement projects for multiple Nassau County water suppliers. Mr. Cucuzzo earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Technology from New York Institute of Technology. He also has certification in Storm Water Pollution Prevention.

Mr. Hoskins, P.G. of Syracuse, NY, who lives in the Howlett Hill area, has assumed his new position as Associate for D&B Engineers and Architects’ East Syracuse office, where he is responsible for supporting the growth of the firm in the upstate New York area. He also manages the daily activities within the office as Project and Contract Manager. He started at D&B Engineers and Architects in 2018, working in its Division of Environmental Remediation and Multimedia Environmental Compliance as Manager of the company’s East Syracuse office at which time he also had responsibilities as Senior Geologist. Mr. Hoskins has a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Boston College and a Master of Science from the University of Wyoming. A licensed Professional Geologist in both New York and Pennsylvania, he is a member of the Central New York Association of Professional Geologists, the New York State Council of Professional Geologists, the National Groundwater Association, and the Air and Waste Management Association.
