Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners’ Association Meeting Centers on “Going Paperless”. Industry Experts Chalif and Devecioglu Lead Presentation

Carle Place, NY, NY USA………As part of an ongoing Educational Speaker Series presented to members of Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners’ Association (NSWCA), which represents 21 Long Island water districts, Martin Chalif of Paperless Solutions Inc. (PSI), Mount Sinai, NY, and Kevin Devecioglu, Managing Director of Bimser International Corporation, led a discussion on the importance of going paperless in managing water districts.

An expert in his field, Mr. Chalif focused on three components in his talk: BEAM Facilities Asset & Maintenance Management System, which manages all types of assets on one common platform and can generate more than 10,000 reports; QDMS, a compliance and quality management tool; and OCR Document Imaging, a faster more accurate mode of scanning that saves time and money, and is more secure. As he explained, going paperless saves costs and clerical time and can contribute to greater, more timely compliance. Environmentally friendly, it also saves trees.

NSWCA President and Hicksville Water District Commissioner William Schuckmann commented, “The presentation by Mr. Chalif and Mr. Devecioglu was enlightening and informative. The ideas they discussed are near and dear to our members, as we are elected by voters and are always cognizant of cost savings and greater efficiencies. We continually advocate for conservation in water usage, and saving paper, from production and disposal standpoints, also means helping the environment. This aids in long-term sustainability, something we are keenly aware of at NSWCA. We thank them both for sharing their time and knowledge.”
