D&B Engineers and Architects’ Senior Associate Named Trustee

D&B Engineers and Architects’ Mike Savarese of South Huntington, NY has been appointed Trustee to the New York State Section of the American Water Works Association (NYSAWWA) Board of Governors. His term will run through April 2024 and his responsibilities will include serving as a liaison to the section committees, encouraging committee involvement and recruiting new members as well as participating in discussion forums, providing his expertise for solutions to a wide range of issues facing the water supply industry and assisting with managing the Section’s business. The American Water Works Association is an international non-profit organization for professionals dedicated to creating a better world through water.

Mr. Savarese, who received his Master of Science in Civil Engineering in 2010 from Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY is a Senior Associate at D&B Engineers and Architects, headquartered in Woodbury, NY. He directs engineering efforts for municipal clients, including infrastructure projects ranging from water supply facilities to storage as well as distribution systems. He also facilitates coordination with D&B Engineers and Architects’ Emerging Contaminant Task Force for 1,4-dioxane, PFOA and PFOS treatment projects.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as Trustee of the Board of Governors with the New York State Section of the American Water Works Association,” Mr. Savarese said.  “I have enjoyed being active in the organization where I can collaborate with my peers on professional and personal levels. My involvement in the Events, Education and Program Committees will be reflected in guiding the organization and furthering AWWA’s goals and missions. In particular, I hope to be an effective liaison to the Long Island and  New York Metro areas.”
