D&B Engineers and Architects Continues Expansion with Eight New Hires

Christine Arena, Alison Cataldo, Michael Chase, Jack Hartigan, Steven Patak, Joseph Quinn, Alex Schwartz and Jonathan Schwartz Become New Employees.

December, 2021; Woodbury, NY – D&B Engineers and Architects, a leading engineering and consulting organization headquartered in Woodbury, NY that specializes in water supply, wastewater management and environmental engineering, has increased its employee roster by hiring eight employees, one from upstate New York and seven from across Long Island: Christine Arena of Hopewell Junction, NY; Alison Cataldo of Sayville, NY; Michael Chase of Williston Park, NY; Jack Hartigan of Babylon, NY; Steven Patak of Westbury, NY;  Joseph Quinn of East Islip, NY; Alex Schwartz of Bay Shore, NY; and Jonathan Schwartz of Syosset, NY.

D&B President Steven A. Fangmann commented, “The steady growth of D&B business in the municipal and private engineering sectors continues despite the volatility of the industry. Ms. Christine Arena joined D&B Engineers and Architects as Senior Proposal Coordinator in the White Plains office. She is a graduate of Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Ms. Arena most recently worked at STV, Inc. in White Plains, NY as a Business Development Analyst.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joining D&B Engineers and Architects as Director of Marketing in its Woodbury office is Ms. Alison Cataldo. She recently worked at GdB Geospatial in Melville, NY as Director of Marketing. Ms. Cataldo has a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, NY.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Michael Chase is Engineer I with D&B Engineers and Architects’ Electrical Engineering Group. He attended SUNY Stony Brook in the Electrical Engineering BE Program and Mr. Chase was previously employed at Flagship One, Inc. in Lynbrook, NY where he was an Electrical Technician.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Taking on the position of Engineer I with D&B Engineers and Architects’ Water Supply Division is Mr. Jack Hartigan. He majored in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI. Previously, Mr. Hartigan had an apprenticeship at Kavel Construction in East Islip, NY

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Steven Patak is a new Senior Engineer in the Water Supply Division at D&B Engineers and Architects. Before joining D&B Engineers and Architects, Mr. Patak worked as System Safety Specialist IV at New York City Transit in Manhattan, NY. He is a graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

D&B Engineers and Architects’ Engineer I with its Electrical Engineering Group is Mr. Joseph Quinn. Previously a Student Intern at H2M Architects and Engineers in Melville, NY, Mr. Quinn has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Haven in West Haven, CT.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joining D&B Engineers and Architects Water Supply Division as Engineer I is Mr. Alex Schwartz. He is currently working toward his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY. Mr. Schwartz was previously an Intern for Tiderunner Engineering & Design in Bay Shore, NY.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Jonathan Schwartz is a new Engineer I with D&B Engineers and Architects’ Water Supply Division. A graduate of SUNY Buffalo, Mr. Schwartz has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. Prior to working at D&B Engineers and Architects, he was an Environmental Specialist I at Arcadis US, Inc. in Melville, NY.
